Magial things

"We hold all sorts of magical things inside ourselves - ideas, poetry, stories, paintings, unique ways to solve problems. Our challenge lies in finding the path to allow the magic out, to express our creative selves." ~ C. Diane Ealy, Ph.D.

Waterseller Ghost

Study of The Waterseller of Seville (Velazquez)1618-1622 I did in class . Water mixable oil on Acrylic pad. I chose only 3 of the elements from his painting I did not included the boy and the old man, as I am not good with people yet. The Ghost is a man standing in line in the shadow, but I saw a ghost instead, OOOOw. As I looked at his painting the more I liked it. You can Google The Waterseller to see the painting it's history and his other art. I liked the water mixable oil it was different and blended nicely and layering washes nicely. Rich colors as well and the look of oils .

When Friends get togeather magical things happen

My Friend Jan from Tampa came for a visit. We Got out the Glass and broken dish shards I have collected for years, buttered them up and finally after years did the Mosaic on the frame she had sent me to do and never did. We had a good time. Wish she could have stayed longer We thought of all kinds of things to cover up. I have things in the making With the scallop shells she brought to me from her Scallop harvesting. Zentangle1

Having Fun with Zentangles. A lady on my art tec yahoo group turned me on to this web site www.zentangle.com . I use to do these as a young teen with my bff Jan We would doodle a few lines then pass it to each other and come up with some cool art. I did these 3"x3" on sketch paper and I used my favorite Pigma Micron 05 pen in brown. I have earlier work stashed away to be a painting some day I will share.
