Magial things

"We hold all sorts of magical things inside ourselves - ideas, poetry, stories, paintings, unique ways to solve problems. Our challenge lies in finding the path to allow the magic out, to express our creative selves." ~ C. Diane Ealy, Ph.D.

Waterseller Ghost

Study of The Waterseller of Seville (Velazquez)1618-1622 I did in class . Water mixable oil on Acrylic pad. I chose only 3 of the elements from his painting I did not included the boy and the old man, as I am not good with people yet. The Ghost is a man standing in line in the shadow, but I saw a ghost instead, OOOOw. As I looked at his painting the more I liked it. You can Google The Waterseller to see the painting it's history and his other art. I liked the water mixable oil it was different and blended nicely and layering washes nicely. Rich colors as well and the look of oils .

Having Fun with Zentangles. A lady on my art tec yahoo group turned me on to this web site . I use to do these as a young teen with my bff Jan We would doodle a few lines then pass it to each other and come up with some cool art. I did these 3"x3" on sketch paper and I used my favorite Pigma Micron 05 pen in brown. I have earlier work stashed away to be a painting some day I will share. Watch Where You Are Going . My Art teacher handed us photos she took and I picked a land scape that had a side view mirror in the lower corner. Well I just had to play, my imagination took over. After thinking and comments from the class i had to add the watch tower. LOL I may call it Going East and leaving the West Behind. What do you think. Any Suggestions?

The Moon moves a few inches away from Earth every year.
Scientists speculate the Moon was formed when something hit the Earth's surface and caused material to fly into the atmosphere, gather more dust, and get caught in the gravity of our Earth. This mass finally formed into the moon, which forever revolves around us.
The Moon's other names through the ages have been Aphrodite, Artemis, Diana, Luna, Selen, and Thoth. In some cultures it's considered to be a woman, in others a man.
It used to be believed that dew came from the Moon because the moisture arrived at twilight and lasted until dawn.
If you have jasmine in your garden you'll enjoy the moonlight twice. It is said the soul of the Moon lives in the white blossoms and that's why they shine so during a full moon.
The Moon has been considered to be a gate to another world, to outer space, or heaven.
The Moon is always seen as a symbol of renewal.
Lunatic behavior was blamed on the moon.
Even though they may not be interested in its poetic beauty, even doctors and scientists are awed by a full moon's power to increase blood flow and to cause more babies to be born under its watchful eye than at any other time of the Moon's cycle

Just got to Love Lulu. all Grown up . As I was painting this song came into my head and thus a name. Hope Ya like.
The Rocky Banks Of Cry Me River

It took years for her to walk the long journey
to The Rocky Banks Of Cry me A River. As soon as she arrived, All she had been through flowed out of her eyes with tears of all the sorrows, losses, disappointments, and even joys of the experiences of years gone by. Her tears filled the river, and released her soul of pain for a greater understanding, and wisdom of her life as it is.
Her Friends the crows Were there along the way to offer there support and kindness as friends do.
